Howard slams Kofi Annan over human rights warning.
Prime Minister John Howard has admonished United Nations secretary-general Kofi Annan, who has urged all sides in the war to protect civilians.
Mr Annan was responding to a missile strike that killed 15 Iraqis in a Baghdad suburb when he said all sides in the conflict should respect international humanitarian law and take all necessary steps to protect civilians.
Mr Howard told Parliament: "Any suggestion of moral equivalence between the [military] coalition and the Iraqis on this occasion, I totally reject."
Rightly so, John. Who the hell does Kofi Annan think he is? All he is is secretary-general of the UN and recent events have shown us just what THEIR opinions are worth.
