New film and TV studios for Sydney.

A FILM and television studio complex featuring Australia's largest sound stage looks set to be built in southern Sydney after the local council conditionally approved its construction.
Sutherland Shire Council yesterday issued conditional consent to private developer Paul Williams to build the complex at Serenity Cove, Kurnell.
The complex will include four film studios, four television studios, car parking and loading areas and landscaping works, including a wetland and pond system.
Sutherland Shire Mayor Phil Blight said the facility was expected to create 300 regular jobs, swelling to more than 1000 when a movie was being shot.

All they need to do now is make the place somewhat more easily accessible by public transport. I suspect the long-discontinued ferry from La Perouse to Kurnell may be due for a comeback.
