The war's not over yet. US Marines fought a fierce firefight at a mosque in northwestern Baghdad on the Tigris river today, a military source said.
A BBC correspondent reported from the scene of what appeared to be the same incident that US Marines were searching a mosque in the belief that Saddam Hussein might be hiding there.
Hang on... US Marines hunting Saddam in a mosque? From the same US that were still saying today they got him in that big bomb blast? I'm confused now.
I just saw on the SBS evening news the TV footage of that statue of Saddam being pulled down in Baghdad. For some reason it put me very much in mind of the opening scene of Sergei Eisenstein's October.
